It is approaching the November month. We will begin with the celebration of All Saints on November 1, on Thursday. Let us remember we have a duty to attend the Holy Mass, so the order of Mass in the Cathedral will be as Sunday order, with the exception of Mass at 1pm, which will be celebrated in Lyczakowski cemetery.

On November 2, the memorial of All the Faithful of the Dead is celebrated on Friday. The Holy Mass will be celebrated at 1pm in the Janovsky cemetery. Father Mieczyslaw Mokrzycki, the Archbishop will celebrate the Holy Mass for the deceased archbishops and bishops at 6/30 p.m. on November 2 in the Cathedral. After the Mass there will be prayers in the crypts.

From November 1, we will be able to obtain a complete indulgence for 8 days, which we can offer only for the dead:

  • 1 and 2 November for church visitation (prayers: Our Father and I believe in God)
  • from 1 to 8 November for the visit of the cemetery and prayer for the dead (keeping the usual conditions - that is:

1) confess sins by entering into sacramental confession;

2) accept the sacramental Holy Communion;

3) pray according to the intentions of the Holy Father.

One sacramental confession is sufficient for a few indulgences, but for each one the Holy Communion and prayers are required for each one according to the intentions of the Holy Father.

Throughout November we will be praying the Rosary for the dead after the evening Holy Mass at 6.30 pm. Their intentions will also be celebrated Holy Masses on every third Friday of the month, and the Holy Mass on November 2 at 10 am.

On Saturday, we are inviting you to the Holy Mass of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. It will be celebrated at 10 am. The Rosary and the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will be celebrated after the Holy Mass.

Because of the Holy Mass on the Lychakovsky cemetery there will not be a full-blown Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on Thursday.

This week lawyers will not be on duty on Tuesday and Thursday.

Next Sunday at 7.00 p.m. in our Basilica there will be an extraordinary concert of religious music, whose patronage was taken by our Metropolitan Archbishop Mieczysław Mokrzycki. Performed by outstanding artists from Poland, among others the Polish Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra, the Polish Radio Choir and Soloists: Iwona Socha, Małgorzata Walewska, Andrzej Lampert and Przemysław Firek will feature a recently found piece of Prince Józef Michał Ksawery Poniatowski's "Mass in F-major". Our concert is part of a Europe-wide tour of this work (a few days ago it was made in Barcelona). We encourage you to participate in this artistic event.
