The Sacrament of Confirmation

The Sacrament of Confirmation and the Sacraments of Baptism and Eucharist are the Sacraments of Christian initiation the unity of which should be preserved. It is very important to explain the parishioners about the necessity of the Confirmation Sacrament that this is as the completion of the God’s Grace. “Through the Sacrament of Confirmation (the baptized ones) one more time have the opportunity to strengthen the ties with the Church, receive the strength from the Holy Spirit through which people become more obliged, as true witnesses of Jesus, to spread the faith by a word, an act and of course by defending it”. (Catholic Church Catechism, Pallottinum, 1994, p. 311) .

The preparation for Confirmation in our parish is held each Monday from March till May at 7.30pm. The Sacrament of the Confirmation may be given to the person who was baptized in the Catholic Church, is at least 15 years old and is a parishioner of our Church.

This Sacrament is required for those who want to get married and for people who want to become godparents.
